Jainism Report by Neha Magazine with Inputs from Professors Chris Chapple and Pankaj Jain

Tourists, residents, and scholars seek out India's Jain temples for everything from Instagram-primed posts to religious pilgrimages. The monolithic Gommateshwara Bahubali statue in Shravanabelagola is considered one of the seven wonders of India. The nearly 4.5 million Jains living in India perform their rituals inside these historic temples. To identify the most significant ones, we consulted Pankaj Jain, associate professor of philosophy and religion at the University of North Texas, and Christopher Chapple, Doshi professor of Indic and comparative theology at Loyola Marymount University. Jain and Chapple recommend these five Jain establishments to visit on your next trip to India.
